Conan Marine

Hand-caught off the East Coast of South Africa

Conan Marine fishes by hook and line, one fish at a time. Premium linefish, iced within minutes and traceable from hook to plate.

Our method

One line. One hook. One fish.

The Conan, our first boat, works the coastal grounds the slowest way there is, and that is the point. Hooked, bled, and iced within minutes, every fish is worth more because of how it was caught.

No nets, no trawl

A hand line goes down and comes up with one fish, chosen. Species-selective by nature, not by exception.

Zero seabed contact

Hook and line never touch the bottom. The grounds we fish today are the grounds we fish next year.

Released alive

Undersized or off-species goes back over the side alive. What comes aboard is exactly what was meant to.

Traceability

Bled, iced, logged

Minutes out of the water, each fish is bled and buried in ice. Then it is logged: this vessel, this line, this hour, these coordinates. Not a batch. A fish.

That record travels with it through the cold chain to distributors, kitchens, and export. Ask, and we can show you the fish.
